original little hellraisers

they’ve shut my office down so they can move us all to our new location this week — so i had two days ‘off,’ but was so busy with work, i did a bunch of work from home this week. so, today feels like sunday, which is why you’re getting the update now. hopefully work will slow down and i can spend some more time with the awesomest family in the world. (sorry to all you other families out there, you’re awesomeness is sub-par in comparison).

so… where to begin…? owen got sick this week and had a bit of a fever. total trooper though, stuck it out, weathered the sickness storm and got all better… and then, well… kara got the fever. she wasn’t as much of a trooper as owen was, she claims her fever was higher. but really, kids are tougher than us all… i hope i rolled a twenty and dodged the disease… we’ll see.

huge news: owen crawled for the first time last week. we thought it might be related to the fever, but he still mosies about on the sofa and the floor. he even stood for the tinest of bits on his owen this week. big exciting stuff. to that end, he’s starting to do that assisted walk thing where he’ll hold your hands and truck about the house. it’s pretty damned funny — he’ll get going so fast that his upper body leans forward, with his legs trailing behind… he’s totally going to take a digger one of these days.

so, now all he wants to do is stand up and walk. he might skip the crawling phase all together at this point. we’ll keep you posted.

caden has his first case of the clap today — kara caught it on video. and then we updated the
photos as well this week.

and if you cannot tell already, we got some blog software finally installed on the server. i realize space is getting cramped, so i am going to look at doing a site overhaul at some point soon, but it’s kind of a lot of work. this will work well though as we’ll be able to update remotely much easier now. i encourage you to leave comments (use the link below) if you want to dialog about the little man or whatever else i might be ranting about.
