backyard almost done…
ah, the backyard is almost complete. it took us 9 years to get this far, to say i am frugal is to, well, grossly exaggerate. i hate spending money. i blame my father.
but… i am totally glad we did. kara designed it and we’re getting it finished next week when the grass folks come out to install the phony grass. we’re heading to the depot right now to go pickup a bar-b-que. it’s going to be really nice when it’s done. we’re working on some outdoor audio equipment so we can get some music playing out there and in the farthest spot from the house we’re putting in an ipe table and some chairs. that way we can cook outside, listen to music and enjoy the 5 or 6 days of sunny weather a year we end up getting out our way.
i would like to point out that the landscaper paul tamate kicks ass. he did this in 5 days. including the fence, retaining walls, clearing the yard and building the planters. if you’re bay area, use him. he rules.
