mum-eee!
when i come home from work now, i can hear owen on the other side of the door before i open it. i think kara tells him when i’m home (she has this super-human sense of hearing) and he just goes ballistic. it warms your heart and makes you feel loved. it usually involves him running around in circles like a little toddler mosher, nodding his head back and forth like a drunk head-banger and screaming like an emo-kid at a cure show.
that is until he calms down, runs up to me (while i still have my bags from work, mind you) and shoves his open palm out in front of him and says, “mum-eee.” that’s his word for money. i have to give him some every day now.
kara took an old pickle jar and converted it into a piggy bank for him. he takes whatever change i have and then proudly places it in his bank. he knows he only gets two coins at a time, so he only takes one from you, runs over, places it in his bank, rinse, repeat.
there was the day, however, when he found kara’s wallet, opened the change purse and robbed her blind.

could he be any cuter? he is such a little man! i love it!!!
