my wonderful wife, owen and the unborn

kara’s cravings

kara sure is pregnant. she’s going to kill me for this, but she ate half a bag of oreos. *ahem* that’s my job. and then she’s fallen in love with a very specific flavor of ben and jerry’s ice cream. i do not exaggerate when i say this… she’s gone through 4 of them in the past 4 weeks. i’m not judging her for it, i’m not. i don’t have a restless alien brood kicking around and doing backflips inside me. not to mention punishing the inside of my ribcage. i haven’t had to chase a two year old around the house. so, if the lady wants oreos and ice cream, it is what she gets.

our updates are getting so intermittent — we’re both so busy with getting ready for the baby to be born. kara is getting owen ready to move into his big-boy room (he slept in it last night — we’re, like everything else in our house, putting the finishing touches on it…) she’s planning out the final addition to the backyard so that i have a place to throw all my computer crap. she’s trying to get the inside of the house painted. oh, and she’s trying to get the nursery ready for the new baby.

i, on the other hand, have been bouncing all over the place. in the past three weeks, i’ve been to dallas, boston and the uk. i head to the czech republic on this coming saturday for a week and stop in maryland on my way home. after that, no more travel for me for the rest of the year… so we’re trying to pack as much of it in as possible before kara gets too pregnant.

in owen news… he just fell out of his high chair. he’s a bit pissed about it. i just heard a huge, loud, thud on the floor. life is so exciting. ;)

in sequel news, we’re starting to figure out first names, but as usual, are struggling with middle names again for some reason. i can’t believe the new little one will be here in just over 3 months. that’s crazy. the kid is kicking like mad (if you haven’t been able to tell from the above). we updated the gut-check for the past two weeks at once. with all the travel, it’s hard to remember to constantly take the pictures.

promise the next update won’t be so sanitized and administrative. just trying to get all four of you up to speed on us…

a few new photos of owen in the gallery.

  1. Kara - that ice cream is so addicting. Eat it up lady. You deserve it!
