another eventful weekend…
we took owen to see wall-e this weekend. it was like taking him out for the first time after he was born — we were a bit nervous that he’d be a p.i.t.a. in the theater. it didn’t help that i bought tickets for the 4:40 show thinking it started at 4. so, we went into the movie as it was almost over…
it was pretty cute though — owen kept saying ‘wall-eeeeee’ everytime he saw the little robot. the way i figure it, if someone has an issue, they can go screw themselves… it’s a kid’s movie.
so we settled in, owen ate popcorn like his mother (i.e. inhaled it like crazy). he freaked out a bit in the dark when the lights went out. he reinforced that we can always take him more places than we think — we just have to try and explain it to him ahead of time. it was the first movie he’s seen consciously (we took him to little miss sunshine when he was two days old…)
the movie is good too — pixar always gets it right (well, i never saw cars…)
three more weeks to go before the sequel arrives!
