monsters again!

owen really wanted to be a green monster again, so i dug out his costume from last year and it still mostly fit him.  it was a little short so i made new and improved feet, a new tail and added a hood.  i had to make a new costume for dylan.  i must be [...]

like father, like son

we went in the apple store yesterday, i needed a new mouse, and owen spotted a computer game, “go diego, go diego animal rescue”  i gave in and got it for him.  i wasn’t sure if he would be able to play this on his own or if i’d be tied to the computer with [...]

painting pumpkins

we painted pumpkins the day, they both had a lot of fun doing it.  owen was super clean, of course, and dylan needed a bath afterwards =).  gigi, owen’s preschool teacher reported to me that when they painted pumpkins at preschool,  all the kids had these huge puddles of paint under there pumpkins and of [...]

made a trade

dylan was following me through sports basement when he stopped and got this impish grin on his face, turned and walked down an aisle.  i kept calling him, i could see his little feet through the display and then i spotted it.  a display of footballs!  he was grabbing as many as his little hands [...]

cute little pumpkins!

we kidnapped john from work today and went to the pumpkin patch.  it was a bit picked over but the boys didn’t care, they loved the pumpkins and the wheel barrow ride.

don’t let phoebe lick you…

she just ate a pile of baby poop off the carpet! dylan pooped in the potty and i thought he was done.  i was wrong.  i went to go get a diaper and turned around to find a neat but soft pile of poop on the carpet.  so i brought him back to the potty [...]

linus chowanec

dylan loves his blanket!  he’s always been attached to it, he couldn’t sleep without it, but it never left the crib.  now he has to take it with him when he wakes up.  he drags the thing all over the house collecting dog and cat hair and bits of food.  it is really cute, it [...]

buckle up boys!

owen has been anti-nap pretty much since he started preschool, which is exactly the opposite of what i expected to happen.  he still clearly needs to nap because anytime we get in the car in the afternoon, he passes out, i’m talking drooling and snoring passed out.  today we left to meet up some friends [...]

hand in hand

i love it when the boys work together instead of opposite ends.  most of the time they are good but there’s definitely sibling rivalry, mostly it revolves around toys or who is sitting in my lap.  i just love, love, love it when they are like this!

mama’s helper and my comedian

the kids are doing great.  owen is my little helper and dylan is my comedian.  owen is always eager to help and is very thoughtful.  when dylan got his big goose egg, owen ran to the other room and got him a toy and tried to make him feel better.  when the toy didn’t work [...]
