lola’s journal day 4
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Today, Dylan woke up at 5:30, fussy with a low grade temperature. It is just as well it is our rest day. And Owen slept until 7 a.m. What a trooper Owen is – being obedient and helping us around with Dylan. He knows Dylan is under the weather.
In the afternoon, Uncle Johnnie took care of the boys most of the time. They like being around Uncle Johnnie, which relieves me a bit to take care of my travel plans. Dylan, especially, likes to cuddle with him.
We ended the day with pizza, a bath and a ride to see Christmas lights in the area. Owen liked the idea. Being first Friday, the church was open for the 24 hour Adoration so it gave us a chance to see Baby Jesus in the manger. Owen was so cute by being quiet and talking so quietly to Baby Jesus. He called the church as the house of Jesus. And just outside the church is a well-lit portion of the yard where the statue of the Blessed Mother Mary stands. Owen stood beside her and he wanted his picture taken. Unfortunately, we did not have a camera with us.
As I shoot this mail, the boys are huddled with Uncle Johnnie quietly watching a movie. Dylan still have a low grade temp.
Tomorrow’s plan: Grandpa is taking Owen to the Wild Animal Zoo. If Dylan is feeling better, Uncle Johnnie will go with them while Lola gathers the boys’ things.
The boys are now asleep in their own beds – so sweetly snoring away.
