trip journal – day 12
day 12 – january 9th, 2010
after signing up for the big ice excursion, we jumped on the internet to see how challenging it was going to be. all it did was make us more anxious. reports of its difficulty were mixed, but the people calling it easy were talking about how fit they were, etc., etc., etc. i started to plan for my funeral.
we slept in and then headed down to town to shop for what we needed for our trek across the glacier. picked up some more things for the boys. talked about the boys. got home sick for the boys and then stopped to check out some videos my mother sent which made us both feel better and worse at the same time. they’re definitely having fun with the grandparents, but we’re missing them pretty badly at this point.
decided to have dinner at the hotel as we had to turn in early to get up at 6 to be in the lobby by 7am to make it out onto the ice.
no pictures you ask? uploading to flickr from argentina is a trial on the best day and impossible on the average day.
Did not mean to make you feel worse about the boys, wanted you to see that are both okay.
i *(john logged in as kara) know… just seeing them on video makes us both happy to see them and miss them. don’t stop sending the videos whatever you do!
