to my wonderfully well behaved kids…

i am writing this from an airplane.  i am amazed, repeatedly, at the ignorance and lack of general respect that adults will treat others with.  i just watched a grown man – almost your grandfather’s age – hit and kick the chair in front of him because someone reclined their seat.

i always thought you were allowed to recline your seat on a flight.  there’s even this little button on the handle that lets you drop the seat back a bit so that you can sleep in comfort.  this injustice (note: sarcasm) was too much for this grandfatherly type to endure.  so he kicked the back of the chair in front of him to send the reclining passenger a message.

i pointed out that i thought he was being a bit overbearing.  fine, i wasn’t minding my own business – sure – but i just can’t stand it when this kind of crap happens.

he told me to “f*** off!”

i told him in return that my young children have better manners than him.

what did the airline do?  moved the passenger that got his chair kicked back from economy plus (where you get a smidge more leg room) to economy.

shame on all of you.

  1. Good for you Kara, it is so unbelieveable to me that grown adults can behave so badly. I don’t know how many times I have seen what you just saw and have had the same reaction…..

    What a jerk…………….

    Love you
