playdate with charlotte
dylan had his first playdate without owen last thursday. it hadn’t occured to me until recently that dylan had never played with another kid without owen. okay so he hit charlotte, twice. the first one was more of a shove. the second one was a slap to the face! yikes! it’s bad enough dylan hit another kid, but the kid was john’s boss’s daughter. the kid needs to work on his social skills. i gave him a prompt time out and he didn’t do it again and started sharing their snacks. babysteps.
oh dear! dylan – almost 2 years old and already showing your dominance? tsk tsk, dylan, that is not the way to win a girl’s heart. good old mama will curb your style, for sure. i love you more than ever – rough diamond that you are for now.

fortunately at almost 2 they have no clue that they are different. bat needs to be taught and i know kara will take care of him not hitting anyone especially girls…………
but the look on his face sitting in that chair next to her was priceless…he is too cute
