quote of the day “i love you” dylan

(totally unrelated but dylan slept through a trader joe’s shopping trip today) dylan is speaking in sentences! granted they are still toddler garbled but they are definitely sentences.  the day before we left for our trip dylan started saying “mama, where are you?” but now he also says, i love you and i need you. [...]

i can’t keep up…

there are so many things to write about that i can’t keep up. we went to wanderlust music festival, in lake tahoe with the blase’s (read the blase’s post here about wanderlust) and had a great time.  crazy dylan let go of my hand to walk into freaking lake tahoe!  i will be taking that boy [...]

i’m going to mommy hell!

not only am i feeding my child a bottle of formula, i’ve propped the bottle up on the coffee table so i can do a quick clean up before some people come over.  sweet owen saw this and clearly knew that this was wrong and tried to help feed dylan his bottle.  bad mama, [...]

zombie leg returns!

dylan has gotten much better at “crawling”  he can now actually get around.  he “crawls” exactly like owen did, which we lovingly call “zombie leg”  because as he crawls he drags his right leg and it makes this awesome “shik, shik” sound.

quote of the day

“don’t play with your balls!” owen 4/14/09 snicker  yes, exactly what you are thinking.  owen often accompanies dylan to the bathroom and the only toy dylan needs is the one between his legs.  i’ve never said anything, thinking that it’s just what little boys do, so i’m assuming john has said something for owen to [...]

he’s like a cat

dylan is determined to walk.  i’m constantly trying to put him down to play and no matter how i try and sit him down he always seems to find a way to plant his feet firmly on the ground, stiffining his body so it’s nearly impossible to make him sit.  i’m literally wrestling the [...]

12 hours of the boys

my wife needed to get wasted.  so i took it on myself to take care of the boys for a day while she jumped in a limo with her friends to be whisked off to a bachlorette party where she would drink for 12 hours. and… this should make my mom happy… taking care of [...]

fun at the playground

the two boys love each other’s company.  owen loves to show dylan how things work.  it’s really cute watching them interact with each other.  i just love it.

whoah! you’re 7 month’s old already!

little d – i can’t believe you already 7 month’s old!  totally crazy!  you are a little trooper, a monkey, a joy, a chatter box, a pain and a little love bug.

i love this age!

dylan can now sit up pretty well with only the occasional capsize.  which means owen and dylan can actually play together!  which is fantastic!  owen loves having dylan come watch/play and dylan loves watching/playing with owen.  total win win situation.
